I started this blog in honor of my son Holden. I started putting my words onto paper when I was asked to write a victim impact statement shortly after he was killed that horrible day in April of 2017. Grief is heavy, so I continue to write when I need a place to put it down, if only for that moment.

Truthfully, there are no words in the English language to express what it is to live my life without Holden physically here. This is a club that you never want to join, but once here, you can never leave.

I hope that this blog gives you a glimpse into the world of a bereaved parent. That through my words and photos, you will learn about Holden, and while not physically here, he is very much present.
